1. MEASURE YOUR BUST CIRCUMFERENCE
Place the tape just below the chest and parallel to the floor.
2. MEASURE YOUR BREAST CIRCUMFERENCE
Place the tape between the breasts going up to the underwire under the arm passing through the tip of the breast
How to take your measurements?
Alone in front of your mirror or accompanied by someone for more precision, follow the steps below to know your bust and chest measurements:
- Get a flexible tape measure.
- Wear an unpadded bra to avoid distorting the result.
- Place the tape straight and parallel to the floor.
- Feel comfortable during your measurements: the tape should be neither too tight nor too loose in order to be as accurate as possible.

Is your size no longer available ? Choose an equivalent size ! Also called "twin size", it allows you to buy your favorite bra in a size that adapts to your shape and your body in the same way as your usual size. Every woman has 2 equivalent sizes. To know them, you just need to :
EITHER increase the bust size by one size and lower the cup size by one size
OR lower the bust size by one size and increase the cup size by one size
Example :
If you are a size 90D (FR), your equivalent sizes are :
95C (FR)
85E (FR)
Common Questions
I don't know what bralette size to take ?
Sans Complexe bralettes, like certain bra models, exist in universal sizes and not in cup sizes. To find out your bra size, consult the table available above, find your usual bra size and choose the universal size that corresponds. Example : if you are usually a size 90E (FR), your bra size is L.
My bra goes up my back, is it normal ?
If your bra goes up your back, it means your bra is not at the right size for you : your back size is probably too big. We advise you to try to size down. The goal is for your bra to sit straight behind your back. Ex : you are a 100E and your bra goes up? Try on a size 95E.
Do the underwires of your bra hurt?
If your underwire hurts, it's likely that your cup size is too small. We advise you to go for the larger size. The underwire should fit perfectly around the breast without being too far under the bust or on the breast.
The back strap is a bit of a problem for me and I don't want throw this bra away, what should I do?
If your bra is tight around your back but you don't want to change it, choose back extenders ! These easy-to-use products hook onto your bra closure to elongate your back and help you feel more comfortable.
